These plates represent the most vital part of body armor and are inserted in bulletproof vests and plate carriers. Unfortunately, after absorbing a shot, they usually need to be replaced with a new. So, if possible, purchase 3 plates for 1 vest or plate carrier.

IMPORTANT! Please buy plates size M and bigger with the level of protection stated below.

Bulletproof vests are made of durable fabric, such as Cordura or similar, with multiple strips of protective material (para-aramid fabric, aka Kevlar or ultra‐high‐molecular‐weight polyethylene, aka UHMWPE, UHMW) sewn together.

Though similar in appearance to plate carriers, bulletproof vests are slightly larger and provide protection all over their surface due to the filling, including on the sides, straps over the shoulders. Also, they can be fitted with neck protection, groin protection, etc. The body armor may be of any color, however, MultiCam is preferred.

IMPORTANT! Bulletproof vests must have pockets into which the ballistic plates are inserted at the front and back (sometimes on the sides as well).

If possible, buy bulletproof vests and ballistic plates, so that it may be ready for wear, once delivered. For characteristics of ballistic plates, please, read a description of the items on the main page.

Though similar to bulletproof vests in appearance, plate carriers do not provide any protection without inserted ballistic plates. They may be equipped with various chest rigs and bags (like first aid kits). If possible include those optional items into your purchase, they will definitely be put to good use. The plate carrier may be of any color, however, MultiCam is preferred.

If you buy plate carrier and ballistic plates, please buy 3 plates, with one as a spare.

Ballistic helmets are made of composite materials (such as Kevlar), so they are both firm and light. Ukrainian Army needs helmets with NIJ Level III protection, which may deflect most of the bullets and fragments. Also, they may be equipped with damping inserts to lessen the force of the impact, forehead and ear protection, anti-fragmentation visors etc.
The helmet must have a cover, which is usually purchased separately . The helmet and cover can be of any color, however, MultiCam is preferred.

Tactical gloves. Any tactical gloves would work, but if possible make sure they have some kind of heat resistance.

Knee protection. Most have a layer of damping material inside a synthetic fabric, and on top of that is a rigid panel of thermoplastic or polymer that acts as a protective layer.

Ballistic goggles. They have polycarbonate lenses <nobr>2-2.5 mm</nobr> thick and a frame made of refractory plastic. If possible, make sure they were certified in accordance with MIL-PRF-31013 standard. If possible, buy glasses with case and helmet mount.

Tactical Boots

Moisture-resistant boots with Gore-Tex membrane, ankle protection and non-slip soles.

Tactical Sneakers

Comfortable shoes that look like high-end sneakers or hiking boots but are lighter and easier to move around in.

You may buy shoes of any color.

First aid kits of the US Issue (IFEK II standard) are preferred. If these are not available, you can assemble the following equipment:

• First aid kit bag with MOLLE system
• 2 Combat Application Tourniquets (C.A.T. 6-7 GEN)
• 1 Bandage Kit, 4 1/2″ Elastic/Compression, Vacuum Packed/Sterile (Israeli Bandage)
• 2 One-way Valve Chest Wound Seal, Entrance/Exit Seals

You may also add CELOX and burn dressings to the kit.

The kit bag may be of any military color, however, MultiCam is preferred.

Any model from the list below will work just fine. If none of them are available, you can buy next-generation models with similar features.

Minimal technical requirements

• Magnification – x 3 and higher
• Detection range – 1000 meters (yards) and further
• Battery life – 4 hours and longer

You may buy thermal imagers from the list below or find other models with similar characteristics.
